* Electrochromics are materials or devices which change color, when a small DC voltage is applied. This "color" change can be in the Visible region, which the human eye can see, as well as in other spectral regions such as the Infrared (IR). Emittance, which crudely is (1 - Reflectance), is essentially the capability of a body to emit heat.
